When I praise You heartily, saying "Oh GuhA! Oh Great Master!"
blissfully sweet honey wells up profusely in my inner tongue due to Your grace.
As the nectar of SivA sprouts within me, the hunger in my stomach is satiated.
The root of my wicked deeds, both good and bad,
evil vices and diseases are totally destroyed.
I happily chant the ManthrA "Om NamasivAya".
I reach a blissful zone in the ether where day and night cease to exist.
I realise that this is the ultimate destination where the matchless and heavenly cosmic dance by the Lord takes place, and in that beautiful thought process
I have the vision of the Lord with coral-like body and hallowed feet, accompanied by His devotees who have already attained those feet.
Mounting Your beautiful, gold-like and young peacock, that can give refuge to all,
kindly grant me Your golden feet!
To the meter of "thakuda thakuthaku thAthaka than-thath thikuda thikuthiku theethaka thon-thath thadudu dudududu dAdaka dingku",
the two small drums (tabElA), the large drums (thimilai), flutes, and other percussion instruments of the variety, pampai and karadi (making animal sounds)
hand-drums (udukkai) and veeNAs - all these created a loud noise;
the slain corpses were scattered all over;
with the speed of a cyclone, You went to the battlefield;
the dancing red eagles flocked together as if a space was enclosed blocking the skyview;
those eagles' hunger was satiated, and the demons were killed;
the seas were agitated due to boisterous waves and the eight great serpents were terror-stricken when You wielded Your spear, Oh Lord!
Your father, Lord SivA, who danced in Mount KailAsh,
was delighted with a molten heart when You played with Him teasingly.
You have Your abode at the golden stage in Chidhambaram, Oh Kantha, the Great One!
