nAlu maindhu vAsal keeRu thUR udambu:

This body has nine portals* in it and is full of blemish.

kAl kaiyAgi nAri yenbil Agum Agam:

The legs and arms got attached to this body which is made up of nerves and bones.

adhanUdE nAdhamondra:

To this body, an organ meant for sound got affixed.

Adhi vAyil:

Also other five prime sensory organs required for all functions,

nAtakangaLAna Adi:

this body enacted several dramas in this world!

nAdaRindhi dAmalEga vaLarAmun:

Before this body grows to a point where the exit of life from it is not known to anyone in this world,

nUl anantha kOdi thEdi:

this body searches for millions of books and goes through them;

mAl migundhu:

the mind gets confused;

and this body heaps a lot of praise on so many wealthy people in this world, changes its mind and suffers the consequences!

I do not want to suffer that life full of several diseases.

I want You to mingle with my mind so that I could recite and understand the complete treatise of True Knowledge; and that is the life I want from You.

He holds the weapon of Chakra (disc) in His hand; and He belongs to the family of shepherds. You are the nephew of that mystic Vishnu!

All the VEdAs worship Your lotus feet!

vAraNang kai mEvum AdhiyAna:

You hold a staff of the Rooster! You are the most primordial One!
